John Hewlings Bryant published the Taylor Platform in Philadelphia in 1848.   The newspaper offered support for Zachary Taylor's race for the U.S. presidency, as well as news of the day, stories and, of course, poems by his wife, Sophia, under her pen-name Blanche Bennairde.
